So hurt can't do this anymore You're wide awake and watching yourself in the mirror drinking all the Blood from everything they said Everything they swear they didn't mean It burns never felt this fire before You feel your heart smolder as you watch them leave again Blood and money on the floor Everything but love, it left a scene All this passion I'm filled with must be terminal I'm just a timeline with a voice and heart If this is what it takes to save our lives, then so be it I've been numb to the mixture that's been creeping in again By the time I taste the poison it'll be too late to spit out I've been deaf to the questions you've been asking me By the time I found the answer would you have stuck around to hear it So hurt can't do this anymore You're wide awake and watching yourself in the mirror drinking all the Blood from everything they said Everything that they swear they didn't mean It burns never felt this fire before You feel your heart smolder as you watch them leave again Blood and money on the floor Everything but love, it left a scene Flashbacks to the old house Where does my mind go Been making trash from treasure Blue blood turns white gold Live action heart surgery Draw in an audience The song is just for looks now The glow for ambiance I’ll show you iridescence In all the saddest ways I am wearing black to mask it Shown colors fade away You said please go live fluorescent Love is only a hot mess and I don’t know how to function much But I’ll give it my best Is this painful, or euphoric? Oh Ignore or explore it Oh yeah Ignore or explore it Oh yeah Painful or euphoric Oh Well I guess you rang It’s 3 o’clock in the morning And cataclysmically speaking What the hell were we thinking Emotions, lines, and shapes Connect heart to brain Cause you’re just the sigh before the words I love you I’m that feeling when you just can’t fall asleep Gave me another drop Maybe two or more And then we forgot Going through the motions Gave all that she got Left him numb and distraught; With that novocaine, that cocaine, that hurricane She watched the blood stream from his eyes and nose like the movies Drank the tincture of his life force Like marshmallow smoothies And they’ll eat what we drop, those vultures, they’re scavenging secondhand information You’re always missing something But never missing out And you’d better believe it, or do you even see it yet? Did you lose your whereabouts turning up with nothing But something you can write about that no one cares to hear you sing aloud I’m sipping on transgressions and alchemy Pushed in the deep end where I like to think That stress only makes diamonds Til I’m hands up spinning, sucked down the drain til I drown So say you’re sick to your stomach and I’m so sick in the head Insecure and wholly incomplete again The tension in your voice is making me homesick, ten forty nine away The bed we lie isn't all that we wanted, but it’s the one we made It’s hard to swallow drink it down with the potion, and show me what you see Through hollowed that once held the world up I’ve seen eternity

Hibernation 03:25
Float away with the breeze of the ceiling fan again Oh, my God, I feel so different I've never felt this way before Kinda feels like home Powerful beautiful nothing at all You gust of wind! Sapphire at the bottom of the water blending in again When I lie still as a statue And drown everything out Am I talking or am I listening When I fast forward my days And lay my nights back down There are songs inside here and they must be heard, they must be Don't hold you back now don't hold me back This is the bend of a river not the break of a bone woah Grow and adapt, adapt and grow Til I die or find certainty Glory's in the struggle onward Living is the hardest part 'Cause death comes so easy I held the love I have in life Against the inward waterfall Transformed from a human heart Renewing and revealing On replay or skipping to the ending Each thing in this place washes into itself Ever imploding color and sound I guess you'd better help you Oh well I hope you go and help yourself On replay or skipping to the ending Each thing in this place washes into itself Ever imploding color and sound I guess you'd better help you I hope you go and help yourself Waking up just to fall asleep again Dipping in and out of unconsciousness We gotta get this all up off the floor And take ourselves back Home Relentless internal billowing fire You're gonna burn me down Moving forward past this empty distraction again Spring is here! I know you're sleeping, I know you need it Lose your fears, the sun is coming! The times are changing! Crawl from your cave and see the morning! see the revival! Daylight breaks! I know it's warmth is what you've been craving! And I swear by the stars that everything around us is just a played facade But there are songs inside here and they must be heard, they must be Don't hold you back now don't hold me back This is the bend of a river not the break of a bone, woah Grow and adapt, adapt and grow

Tusk and Beehive (free) 02:55
Who are you and what do you say? Skip the small talk and tell me what you're feeling now I know that everyone's been playing the same songs And you're here dying for a lot more Sift through reality and find all that's fake Put yourself out there on the edge I know that everyone's been watching the same screens And you're just here starving for the real things again I know that everyone's been Watching the same screens And you're right here dying to be living again So where did you come from Why didn't this last long Why can't this be less predictable And well there's no conversation; reconciliation Consistency in all the wrong places I know that everyone's been watching the same screens And you're just here starving for the real things again I know that everyone's been Watching the same screens And you're right here dying to be living again Is this the song that you wanted to hear? All you sinners and saints, are we coming home here Are these not the words you've been dreading in fear? While scrambling, while tearing everything down? Yeah, is this the song? Could this be the rhythm? Tomorrow's incentive is yesterday's prison No apologetics though all is forgiven If this is the song that you wanted to hear Who are you and what do you say Skip the small talk and tell me what you're feeling now I know that everyone's been playing the same songs I know that everyone's been watching the same screens And you're just here starving for the real things again I know that everyone's been Watching the same screens And you're right here dying to be living again Same episode, just a different show

I'm all alone just surrounded by color and pain And the things that I heard you say once Back of the room with your soul spilling out, you got the front of the room into a frenzied chaos Take life by the throat take the gun out their hands I gotta go, baby, get out of bed now I hit the floor now I don't dream anymore And wake up running into nightmares somehow Into nightmares somehow Come on, American kid, you'd better fight fair Don't show them up and never go show out And you forgot about the tides this time Fall back in line, you're no brother of mine Come on, American kid, you'd better fight fair Don't show them up and never go show out And you forgot about the tides this time Fall back in line, you're no brother of mine I'm all alone just surrounded by color and pain And the things that I heard you say once Back of the room with your soul spilling out you got the front of the room into a frenzied chaos Take life by the throat take the gun out their hands I gotta go, baby, get out of bed now I hit the floor now I don't dream anymore And wake up running into nightmares somehow Into nightmares somehow I can't believe what was said to me Ya know I thought you were my friend Felt so good to have friends become family But I just tripped into a web And got bit by a spider And it made me so very fucking sick And I can't believe what was said to me Ya know I thought you were my friend Hopelessness Belly up with nothing left I admire such silk artistry, but I can’t feel my fucking limbs Cold; unfeeling It’s like I’m pleading with the dead Now effectively dissolving blanketed inside your web I can't believe what was said to me Ya know I thought you were my friend Felt so good to have friends become family But I just tripped into a web And got bit by a spider And it made me so very fucking sick And I can't believe what was said to me Ya know I thought you were my friend

Exit signs and red tail lights for miles I'm sick of being here Thoughts of you swim the back of my mind like koi in aquarium My heart is always talking to my brain At times it's out of things to say Lately it only sings your name and how being there is all I've needed It's all I needed Take me to a place where I feel at home Never love another one half as much Stick me to what I say on my way up, it's all I need and Take me back like a glass of wine Bring me to the memories I left to die Hold me to the promises I made weeping at your bedside If you could teach me to pray I need a different language Change my mind and set a pace To high and future places The big picture is worth all the words inside the book 86 the drama, just a flash in the pan Gut feeling like a fish on the hook again Just to, just to be thrown back in I don't need more or less of anything to believe that just being there is all I've needed It's all I needed Sirens in the city could make you feel shitty Could make you feel pretty Could make you feel wonderful Five fingers staring back from your hand Take it now it’s your chance You’re the man with the plan, Stan! Push against the current fight a constant incline Kings can have their kingdoms but the legacy’s all mine Dissect every word show the world what you find Knock me on me on my ass that’s fine, I (When I fall eight times I’m gonna get up nine When I fall eight times, I'm gonna get up When I fall eight times, I'm gonna get up nine When I fall eight times, I'm gonna get up!) Fell down eight times got up nine I'm in the belly of the beast Just swallowed by my time Fall down eight times get up nine And bet I'll come back swinging every time, bitch! Fell down eight times got up nine I'm in the belly of the beast Just swallowed by my time Fall down eight times get up nine And bet I'll get up swinging every time If you could teach me to pray I need a different language Change my mind and set a pace To high and future places Turn the cheek and walk away In ways we're all pretty and tasteless Guess I'll be on my way, oh To high and future places The sirens in the city could make you feel shitty Could make you feel pretty Could make you feel wonderful Five fingers staring back from your hand Take it now it’s your chance, you’re the man with the plan Stan! The sirens in the city could make you feel shitty Could make you feel pretty Could make you feel wonderful Five fingers staring back from your hand Take it now it’s your chance, you’re the man with the plan!

about

Ursus is the debut EP of six piece post hardcore outfit Honoré, from Memphis, TN! This five song experience is a first step for the band, and is promised to provide a fresh take on a nostalgic sound. This is a musical and lyrical first foot forward by a group of musicians attempting an authentic stride into an insanely wild industry, niche genre, and sound of their own. If you happen to be coming into your own, beginning a new chapter, or maybe just suffering a long, cold spiritual/emotional/actual winter; shake free from the "hibernation" and and grab life by the throat with the Ursus EP as your soundtrack!
